CHAMELEON system is composed of a rolled steel section manhole cover, compliant with UNI EN 124-3:2015 (a fixed external loom and a cap designed in category B125 – on demand available in C250 or D400 – a pavement containing plastic tray with the function of losing caisson), and a zinc-plated iron lifting tower (coverlift) with the movement components constructed in engineering resin/iron steel. Optional the product can be sold with a ladder 1 meter tall (or multiples) to be anchored  on the twisting side of the cover.

The CHAMELEON system, thanks to the innovative and exclusive level ground lifting movement and  the cover translatory motion, is adaptable to any contest and enabling it to be suitable for any type of pavement being it brick laid down with grout or dry (stones, cobbled paving, sampietrini), installed (asphalt, industrial pavements), loose (gravel, grass, dirt floor). Moreover, the new technology allows to continue the paving over the edge of the cover in order to obtain a complete masking of the iron edge of the manhole cover.

The CHAMELEON system is innovative even in terms of safety for maintenance personal as after the opening of the cap, performed through the coverlift (which means no manual lifting of the weights) the crank becomes a pole that helps descending into the trap and, at the same time, functions as a warning signal.  This reduces all risks related to opening manoeuvers and descending operations into the manhole cover. Moreover, the design of CHAMELEON makes it completely inaccessible to parasites and infesting materials, and, with the security key, becomes irremovable.

The CHAMELEON system is designed to be produced in composite modules based on linear multiples or doubles joined by an intermediate movable support. Moreover, the CHAMELEON system can be personalized in terms of shapes and cover sizes.

Upon request the CHAMELEON system can be equipped with an electric servo-motor for the lifting movement operated by a remote control and an electric control system for the openings/closings.

The CHAMELEON system, due to the fact that it is completely adherent to the cover loom, can be made waterproof, smell-proof, air-tight e fire resistant. Moreover, it can be provided in full iron-steel and/or with components suitable to resist to high temperatures or particularly aggressive agents.

All the elements of the CHAMELEON system are constructed with zinc-plated iron and the internal mechanism of the coverlift are made in iron steel and engineering resin, tested to resist over thousands of uses. The system doesn’t need lubrification, it is dustproof and dirtproof and it preserves it’s use even after a long period of rest.

The CHAMELEON system is developed to be used on common traps (600 mm x 600mm internal measure) and it is fixed just like a common cast iron manhole cover with the only precaution of positioning the bottom part of the tray containing the pavement at the screed level. The coverlift mechanism is fixed using the two hooks designed in the power loom and then screwed to the trap’s walls. The cap is laid down horizontally and any slope is dealt using the thickness of the flooring.
